Collecting  the MC-95 Reverse Trike from the Shippers

The MC-95 Reverse Trike crate is too big for a tailgate lift, so I took a trailer and collected it myself.

You will probably have to collect it from the shippers. Make sure you check with a dealer before you purchase from them. Most say delivered to your door but make sure that they can actually do that.

The top photo shows the crate as it arrived off the carrier's truck. Below you can see the cover material peeled back exposing the trike.

My crate was smashed up between the rear and front wheels, but there was no damage to the underside of the trike.

You can see the crate damage below.

The only parts I didn't unwrap! The fenders looked OK - mistake!

I used some of the crate's 2X4s to chock the front and rear wheels before roping the trike onto the trailer.  Bring an electric screwdriver and bits, and screws if you have them.

The mostly-assembled trike emerges from the crate. The windshield is off, as is the rear fender.  Both were in the cardboard box.

This is the box containing the rear fender, the windshield and some paperwork.  You still have to email the VIN number to the dealer to get the Bill of Sale - It takes about 15 days to arrive.

The only part I didn't check at the carriers!  Under the bubblewrap both turn indicators were broken off at their base. Silicon sealant took care of them.

OK, I could not resist adding some fuel and riding the trike around my van........

....and up my neighbor's drive.

Anne tries the trike for size, as Dean looks on.

Two up and plently of room!  Next came the remaining inspection and assembly.
