Adding a RPM Gauge/Revs Meter

I found that adding a revs meter was a really useful extra.

I used one of these RPM/Hours gauges on the trike.  It shows engine hours when the trike engine is off, and RPM (Revs Per Minute) with the engine running .

A nice feature is that you can see the max revs shown just after you switch the engine off.

It is very easy to attach using double sided sticky tape, or Velcro, or you could screw it permanently onto part of the trike.  The unit uses its own battery so you don't have to wire it in. You just run the sensor wire down to the spark plug lead, and wrap it around the lead several times. That is all there is to it.

I found the display to be large enough to read easily and it is very useful to see how the engine is performing when under load.

You can also use this gauge on most other engines including snowmobiles.  I use them on my hovercraft. The included instructions also tell you how to change the pulse count for different engine firing systems.

I recommend it as a great addition to the trike.
